Motivation is the ability to want to do something. Am I motivated to do homework or go to the gym. It's the ability to do something or anything. I might not have been motivated to do this blog but I started typing and now I can't stop. In order to really motivate yourself to do something you have to make the pre-motivation easy. You have to put on your running shoes, tap the first key or get in your car. All of these are easy and can be done in less than a minute. If you get tired and feel like giving up you start to think about the consequences of stopping or continuing and the consequences of continuing are far better than that of stopping. Motivation can come from other people who can talk to you or encourage you to do something but there is something called self motivation and we should all get into the habit of doing it. Self motivation is doing the small tasks in order to push you to your goal and I think everyone should try to sel motivate themselves and get into habit because in the end you will see success and you won't feel bad about yourself.

Personally I agree with the article. We always want to improve at something whether it be in school or in a video game, we always want to be better. In order for us to become better, we want to take the quickest way possible but this might not be the best way to do things and you might make big mistakes or end in failure. Instead of doing things this way we should take things slowly and try to improve little by little one day at a time. This may not make you noticeable or anything but you will be able to see a difference in yourself and you will know that you improved. This is a sure way to get results rather than taking the leap and ending up falling.
Everyone has goals, whether it be to get good marks or win a sporting event. The systems that take place before achieving these goals are what enable you to truly accomplish the goals. But, goals are purely objective and once you accomplish these goals you also ditch the system that helped you prepare to get this goal. I agree that we should work on habits rather than goals simply because when we want to achieve goals we only want that and nothing more so we just train up until that point and stop. However, habits will help us in the long run, we can still strive for our goals but we have to keep the habit of getting better and better for the next time we do something like out goal or to just become better at what you do. That is why I agree that we should set habits and follow them everyday rather than setting goals and striving for them only to stop trying right after we fail or succeed.
A digital footprint is the trail of data that you create and leave behind you when your using anything on the internet. This includes websites you were on, e-mails, and info that you send into online services. A digital footprint is everything you do online, everything good and bad and anyone, including employers can access this and see if you use the internet responsibly. A digital footprint is important because people can see what kind of person you are and they can also see your work habits. Basically it tells a person everything they need to know about you and it tells an employer if they should hire you or not. In my own opinion, a digital footprint has it's positives and it's negatives and the positives are that employers will know who they are hiring and won't hire a person with a sketchy background, the negatives are this are what if you are this person with the sketchy background but you changed. Also there is no privacy and all of your information is up for grabs by strangers who could use it for identity theft or to even plan a robbery.
